Medication Handling training is of the highest importance when asking social care workers to support individuals with their medication. Unfortunately, some workers don’t have the skills, knowledge or confidence to handle medication – this creates more medication errors, incorrect records and potential safeguarding issues.
Course Duration:
This course can be delivered over 3 hours or 6 hours (contact time).
3 hours – will provide employees with the fundamental information relating to medication handling in your workplace. Learners can also complete a workbook that has been mapped to the care qualifications
6 hours – will provide employees with more detailed information relating to medication handling, along with a practical activity of handling medication and completion of medication administration records. Learners can also complete a workbook that has been mapped to the care qualifications

Course Details:
This course can/will be tailored to your own organisation medication policy and procedure, as well as using your own medication administration record. This will ensure that all learners are competent when completing the required documentation within your workplace.
