Insight Training Academy Ltd has been delivering Safeguarding Individuals training for 15 years and have a wealth of experience and knowledge.
This course has been specifically designed in accordance with the All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF), Care Qualifications and Local Policies and Procedures.
This course can be tailored to working with Children or Adults, or both dependent on the work setting.
Pre – Requisites:
There are no pre-requisites for attending this course as it is focussed around the Safeguarding of Individuals.
Course Duration:
This course is delivered over 3 hours, half day. For more in depth training for your staff, it can be delivered over 6 hours.
Training Materials:
Learners will be provided with a workbook at the start of the training session and will be required to complete the workbook. This workbook has been mapped to the criteria within the mandatory units of the Social Care Worker qualifications.
Course Content:
- Understand legislation relating to the safeguarding of adults/children
- Identify the different types of danger, harm and abuse
- List the sign and symptoms for the different types of danger, harm and abuse
- Know how to deal with a disclosure
- Understand your role when recording and reporting disclosures
